WHY

The mission of COUGARS Daily is for the encouraging of believers in living out their faith daily in a 'post modern' and sometimes 'Anti-Church' culture. It is also a platform for seekers to feel comfortable asking tough questions. Please welcome everyone as we comment and post daily about 'A Slice of Infinity' from RZIM as well as challenge each other to walk behind the Good Sheppard.

Fully Human Life by Margaret Manning

Take ~5 minutes to read this 'COUGARS Daily' which contains snippets from A Slice of Infinity. Invite your family and friends to participate in reading with you daily. Then, consider sharing your comments or faith questions at CougarsDaily.blogspot.com

- "
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:13-14)
- For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." (Romans 8:19-23)

A Slice of Infinity snippets:
"“The resurrection of Jesus means that the present time is shot through with great significance. What is done to the glory of God in the present is genuinely building for God’s future. Acts of justice and mercy, the creation of beauty and the celebration of truth, deeds of love and the creation of communities of kindness and forgiveness--these all matter, and they matter forever." - N.T. Wright

Chad's comments: When you enter the market place, bring dignity to other people. Perhaps this looks like asking the Barista at your favorite coffee shop if they like their job. Continue to offer them dignity and genuine interest in their life. Ask them why they do or don't like their work. Very soon, you will likely meet someone who in return asks you about your work or what you like to do. Perhaps you may then share with them that you like to teach because is allows you to 'celebrate' the truth; or, that you like your work because it allows you to show mercy; or, that you enjoy creating things that look beautiful because it reflects the image of God. Find something about your job/hobbies that you genuinely enjoy and investigate why it reflects God's glory. Then, do those things to His glory and share with others how you like doing it because it builds toward God's future.

The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
